Lately these themes of color among more neutral color schemes have caught my eye. I mean why wouldn’t it. It is a bold statement that can be done with any color, adding much character and style to any room. It can be done by maybe adding a simple picture having bright colors, or something called washi tape accenting frames, vases or doors. You can also add larger options like a colorful chair, dresser or couch to add an even great POP in the room. Overusing this theme too many times or ways in different rooms does not always make a greatest impression and dulls the effect. One should use this way of design as an accessory to the room and not use the color overly much in twenty different ways. Almost every color does well with this idea. A few tips to get even a brighter POP though would be to use hues of red, pink, teal or yellow. Blue is a beautiful color and can go well in a house but to get it to stand out can sometimes be a challenge being in the color scheme of blacks and grays. As in the pictures above, pinks can be very bright and really takeover a room. But for things not to get too girly, going for colors like green or yellow can make a room look just as nice. Colors to go with the bright ones as more neutral colors would be gray, black, white, cream. Accenting a room also with gold, silver or bronze metals adds class and elegance to the room also adding more detailing. The POP color in the room can be paired nicely with small object throughout the room too, like a vase or frame.

Try new things! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while so I thought I would share this design style with you.
